Today is the 130th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig von Mises, the greatest economist of the Twentieth Century. The Ludwig von Mises Institute has posted Murray Rothbard's excellent biographical sketch, "
Ludwig von Mises: Scholar, Creator, Hero" in honor of Mises' birth. I highly recommend it. I also greatly encourage those of you who want to deeply explore the significance of Mises and his work to treat yourself to Jorg Guido Hulsmann's magisterial intellectual biography,
Mises: The Last Knight of Liberalism.
